Coming from a hard-working immigrant family, Grizzly Dabz was born and raised in Watsonville and Salinas and is an Aptos High graduate. He has been drawing and creating since he was a child, never feeling like the best artist, but always having a passion to a CREATIVE artist for sure.
Whether it was creating music, sketching in a notebook, or even just drawing on some cardboard at work, his soul has always seen colors and shapes differently.
His art is influenced by music, graffiti culture, cannabis culture, low rider culture, tattoos, art history, and the pure creative side of the freedom of expression.
At the center of it all, what he enjoys most is seeing other’s reactions when he turns a blank canvas into a colorful spectacle.
