Our Partners
Downtown Streets Team
A Pathway to Recover From experiencing Homelessness
-
Downtown Streets Team is a State-Wide Organization with chapters all over California. Check out what Downtown Streets Team is all about as well as what the Santa Cruz chapter focuses on below: ⬇️
Downtown Streets Team builds Teams that restore dignity, inspire hope, and provide a pathway to recover from homelessness. 🫶
Team Members are unhoused neighbors or folks at risk of experiencing homelessness. They receive access to case management, system navigation, and employment placement services from trained DST Case Managers and Employment Specialists. Teams engage in community beautification and clean-up projects that help challenge common negative perceptions of homelessness.
🌞 The Santa Cruz Team was launched in 2017 through a mix of funds from the city and private donors. The Team won numerous honors after its first year including Organization of the Year from the Chamber of Commerce. Beautifying seven different locations around Santa Cruz County gives our Team Members purpose. From going up to Scott’s Creek while watching the whale migration and making sure the micro-plastics are not part of their journey, to picking up needles in Pogonip before deer step on them - in Santa Cruz, our Team Members have the chance to re-connect with nature while healing from their past traumas. It allows them to become a visible part of supporting their community. 🤝🫂

Last Prisoner Project
Cannabis Justice is Radical Justice
-
The Last Prisoner Project is a non-profit organization dedicated to cannabis criminal justice reform. As the United States moves away from the criminalization of cannabis, giving rise to a major new industry, there remains the fundamental injustice inflicted upon those who have suffered criminal convictions and the consequences of those convictions.
Through legal intervention, public education and legislative advocacy, we work to redress the past and continuing harms of our country’s unjust and ineffective approach to drug policy.
-
We have been collaborating with LPP since July of 2020 and officially part of their Roll it Up for Justice program since November 2020.
-
Folks that shop at Treehouse are able to add $1 or $4.20 donations to their order, both online and with a budtender in the shop.
We also ask our customers if they would like to round up their coin change for LPP on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays.
Thanks to these initiatives and our amazing community, we’ve been able to donate over $19,000 to LPP so far!
Floret Coalition
An anti-racist cannabis collective
-
The Floret Coalition is an anti-racist collective of small businesses in the cannabis and cannabis-adjacent space supporting and funding equity-oriented actions via monthly donations and social campaigns. Together, we will raise funds and awareness for organizations prioritizing the needs of Black, Latinx, and Indigenous communities.
-
We joined the Floret Coalition at their inception in September of 2020.
-
In 2023, coalition members donated over $112,000.
These efforts are guided by a three-person board. Meet their boardhere.
The organizations we have collectively donated to are listed below. Please click on the links to see the good work they do.
Wamm Phytotherapies
Compassionate Cannabis Care
-
WAMM Phytotherapies facilitates compassionate cannabis care for patients under Senate Bill 34. They work to provide clean cannabis free of charge to folks living with chronic & terminal illnesses.
Since 1993, WAMM (Phyto) has been providing cannabis education, advocating for patients, and facilitating community & hope.
WAMM Phyto has improved quality of life & death for thousands of people, & we want to do everything we can to continue their work. Through legal intervention, public education and legislative advocacy, we work to redress the past and continuing harms of our country’s unjust and ineffective approach to drug policy.
-
